Idaho Content Standard: [3.W.RW.4] - "Write personal or fictional stories that recount an event or experience, include details to develop the characters or event(s), and provide a sense of closure."

• Show students a short video clip or read an engaging short story (about a memorable event or a character). Afterward, ask students to turn and talk to a partner about a memorable event in their own lives or a fictional idea they might want to write about.
