I rem seeing you long ago when you were still a little girl, coming to church with your parents. Though we have not spoken in those years, seeing you grow and serve is heartening. I’m glad to know you a little better through last year’s 1cor12 retreat.

Thank you for your faithful heart of service. I want to encourage you to never stop seeking our Lord. Stop only to rest to allow Him to find you. I feel prompted to share this verse with you:

“For I know the plans I have for you, says the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

Jeremiah 29:11

In His plans He will bring meaning, fulfillment and joy. Trust in Him!

I have had some wonderful opportunities to work with some of you. I fondly remember how during covid you guys stepped up to help with a time of penitential service. It was so wonderful and moving. Thank you for the years of dedication.

Camp seasons you did amazing work. Renae was IC for the impossible task of holding it in 2 spaces, JP2 and Columbarium. I remember how you also had to correct me to make sure I sat in the right place! I was the naughty one....

Sandra the face of Logs! The little dynamite that can make guys 2x your size cry! Kidding... the cohort got scared of you when you yelled at them... hahaha.

Abi who said yes to shepherding the communities. I remember the had times and you stuck on!

Marianne who was co IC for a camp too!! Wow...

Joshua was fantastic in Logs, your service was noted, silent hard worker just like St Joe.

I remembered joining the formators at the start thinking, “dang, I hope this ppl don’t judge me” cos yall were younger and cooler (which you are less of both now hehheheheheh).

Well, yall did judge me for the guy I ended up with (I.e., bfoo, and hopefully not me) and I take that as a win HAHA you have all been an absolute joy to be around the many years I encountered each of you: from formators to some CS paired with focus thing that happened, to basic, to planning camps together, to having you all sleep over at my place and so much more.

I still recall that when y’all were younger, y’all were really still finding yourselves - getting tangled in a whole lot of messy relationships and friendships 😂🤓 and trying to figure out if Jesus was really worth it. Fast forward to today, the amount of love I see you all experience through Christ and the community that has transformed y’all to be stewards of Him is just such a privilege and blessing for me 🥲 yall truly 长大了!

Please continue to stay silly and clinging to Jesus always hehe. Love yall very much. Basic’s doors and Blk 216 #13-80 are always open to you ❤️

Oh what many wonderfully blessed and laughter-filled experiences we have shared over the years! From when y'all were in Sec 2 (help!) right up to now, the witness of your faith and joy for Jesus has been a privilege that you have allowed me to partake in, and for that I am grateful.

Thank you for constantly reflecting what steadfast love and humble stewardship can look like, and for simply being a light and sincere presence in community and in my life. See y'all around still ◡̈

What sticks to me the most is your tenaciousness in pursuing God! You never give up and refuse (stubbornness is a big part of it I'm sure) to take the easy way out. As your brother in Christ, I am so inspired by you, and I know for sure that our Heavenly Father is also so proud of each one of you!

In you guys, I've made lifelong friendships, so I'm looking forward eagerly to continually intertwining our lives.

If you feel like you need a retreat, together or by yourself, feel free to let me know. I'll be sure to plan a really fun (for me) and amusing (for me) and really comfortable (for me) retreat v v v v far out of comfort zones (for you) :D

As I pray for you, I am reminded of this Scripture from Isaiah 43:1-2,

¹But now thus says the Lord,
