This ties in heavily with the troubled relationship the BIPOC & Latinx community has with the Police. The Law AT BEST has been utterly incompetent with sexual assault cases, why would the communities harassed by law enforcement do better.

There are many instances in which the Medical community had unethically tested medical findings on BIPOC and exploited the financial hardships these people faced in a predatory manner. The Tuskegee Syphilis Experiments, the Eugenics Movement, and so many other prominent medical studies deliberately harmed POC. As COVID-19 grew rampant in the United States, many POC were rightfully distrustful of the US medical community and refused the vaccine only to be hurt even more.
