This is the first time that Charles has talked to sydney, and it shows him his first impression and what he thinks of him.</div>]]></description>

He appears to be the type of person to work for someone else to not get attention from others. His self-esteem is incredibly low, an he might think that he cant do law by himself. He talks self-depricatingly, and says "you were always somewhere, and I was always— nowhere"(Dickens 92). This illustrates that Carton doesnt think that he amounts to much.</div>]]></description>
