Germany was not the sole cause of world war 1. There were many factors that led to the war, such as the existing tensions between the countries in europe due to the previous crises, the national interests of the various countries and the imperialism competition for more land. And it was Austria-Hungary who declared war, not the Germans.

1. German aggression to dominate Europe led to war
2. German aggression to solidify their alliance with AH led to outbreak of war
3. Germany was threatened by Russian’s growing power and wanted to start war

However ..
1. Germany’s aggression is a defensive move to protect AH
2. Russia’s act of mobilising the troops was provocative
3. Russia was unable to control her Slavic states and their nationalistic sentiments which led to the Sarajevo incident
4. AH was threatened by Serbia’s growing power and Serbia was angered by the annexation of Bosnia into AH territory.

Conclusion :
The cause of war has many factors, however, it was Germany’s extremist attitude towards politics that caused it to reject the Peace Conference and eventually peace, which led to the outbreak of war.

German agression was not the only factor contributing towards the outbreak of WW1. The other Great Powers also played a role in created underlying tensions and rivalries during the international crises which triggered the outbreak of WW1. These tensions created strained relationships and increased the chances of aggressive behaviour towards each country, and over time increased the risk of war breaking out. The arms race between all Great Powers also seemingly threatened each other indirectly as the increase in one country's military and naval strength posed as a risk to other countries falling from it. This heightened the defence and military on other countries part and their suspicions led to increased tension --> a cycle :')

Germany aggression partially led to the outbreak of WW1. Even though Germany might have caused the outbreak of WW1 by supporting Austria-Hungary, but other countries like Austria-Hungary and Russia had a role to play in the outbreak of WW1.

no!
the other great powers played huge roles in the outbreak of WW1 as well,
• austria-hungary (germany wanted to keep conflict localized, but AH took too long to respond to the assassination)
• russia (russia was the expansionist force in the Balkans, and they were the first Great Power to mobilize)
• france and britain (in the preceding years when tension were building up, they could have promoted better relations between the great powers)

No, Germany aggression did not lead to the outbreak of WW1 instead it contributed to the tensions underlying prior to WW1. Germany wasnt the only contributing factor to the outbreak of this war. The other countries did not back down or give on and Russia went to mobilise its troops. This caused a consensus with Germany and Austria-Hungary that Russia wanted to engage in War. Serbia also triggered the war because of the assassination of Franz Fernadinand. It takes 2 hands to clap. We understand that Germany was in fault for increasing tension between countries from the Arms Race and the withdrawing of many peace treaties, but it is unfair to say that Germany was the only one at fault as the other countries also involved in the war was due to their interests with their alliances

No. Germany intensified the tensions among the Great Powers but did not cause WW1. Other countries had a bigger part to play in causing ww1. For example, the choice to punish Serbia was made solely by Austria-Hungary and Germany only promised her support.
