Nationalism is a complex, multidimensional concept involving a shared communal identification with one's nation. It is a political ideology oriented towards gaining and maintaining self-governance, or full sovereignty, over a territory of historical significance to the group (such as its homeland). Nationalism therefore holds that a nation should govern itself, free from unwanted outside interference, and is linked to the concept of self-determination. Nationalism is further oriented towards developing and maintaining a national identity based on shared characteristics such as culture, language, race, religion, political goals or a belief in a common ancestry.Nationalism therefore seeks to preserve the nation's culture. It often also involves a sense of pride in the nation's achievements, and is closely linked to the concept of patriotism. In these terms, nationalism can be positive or negative.
source:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nationalism

Nationality: Vietnamese
Vietnamese speak the Vietnamese language. Some refer to themselves as kinh , meaning lowlander, to distinguish themselves from the highland "tribes people." Sometimes they identify themselves as "northern," "southern" or "central" Vietnamese. The current government and the pre-war governments in North and South Vietnam all tried to resettle lowland Vietnamese in the highlands, but they had many difficulties and achieved only limited results. Nationalism in vietnam grew since the time of the christians when the Vietnamese tried to eliminate Chinese dominance in the land. When france conquered Vietnam in 1885, assimilation was implented. France destroyed the autonomy of the provinces in the nation.

Natinality: Indonesian
People in Indonesia are called Indonesians. People of Malay descent make up a large portion of the populations in Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines. The adjective Indonesian refers to the people of Indonesia, which is a relatively recent construct. Many people in Indonesia go by the island of their origin— Javanese, Balinese, Sumatran, Moluccan—or their ethnic group—Batak, Toraja or Sundanese. Some names like Madurese or even Javanese, refer to both an ethnic group and a people from an island. Nationalism in Indonesia was a product of the abusive rule of the dutch. The java war happened because the dutch meddled with the affairs of the royal house of jog-Jakarta.
