Snakes are animals known as a cold blooded animals and they were supposed to hide in shelters during winter. But instead of hiding they appeared on the ground and moved from the shelters. It turns out, they were saving themselves from mammoth earthquake which happened not long after. kudos to the snakes!

Spend a short time at an animal shelter while newly arrived cats are being photographed, processed and examined, and you'll think you've landed in a snake-charmer's living room. Those cats are hissing to communicate fear, confusion, unhappiness and readiness to lash out if they have to.

The massive tsunami was triggered by a magnitude 9 temblor off the coast of northern Sumatra island on December 26. The giant waves rolled through the Indian Ocean, killing more than 150,000 people in a dozen countries.
