For one, a retiree is more concerned about protecting their wealth than personal growth. However, it's the complete opposite for young people. We seek out for more personal growth and are more apt to spend money to establish ourselves, only saving 10% of our income for retirement

I think this sound like a well grounded plan and am not opposed to following it.
