A slightly negative relationship seems to be between Amira and her Muma. Muma does not support her wish to go to school and tries to push her into the routine of yard work, cooking, and cleaning. Even though Amira clearly loves and is thankful for her, the fact that Muma won’t support her daughter’s dream gives Amira a good reason to be upset towards her. It isn’t like she’s being prevented from seeing a friend or traveling, she’s having an entire world full of literature and math taken away. It is clear that Amira does not wish to become an obedient wife, and instead learn to write and read. But if Muma wants to recreate a positive relationship with her daughter, she must let go of tradition and let Amira be herself.

A negative relationship between the dad and the neighbor is that they sometimes insult to much, for example, they would argue all day and night about who has the better tomatoes. This makes me think that they must be tired arguing all the time.
