AI is the most common academic misconduct issue at the moment. Typically it is around “hallucinated” or false citations and sources.

Usually this is because we don’t have set guidelines, and there is a grey area on when students can/cannot/ if they can use it in their work or course.

Yes, significantly. I’ve been using AI to streamline workflows in International at the University of Alberta. This includes automating Google Sheets/Docs tasks using AI-generated scripts, generating personalized documents for students, and improving communication workflows with AI support. AI is also being explored in intercultural training design.

As an admissions officer, being able to summarize an engineer’s resume for faculty members. As a curriculum manager, being able to synthesize technical academic material for industry advisors and vice versa.
