This is going to sound like a commercial, but Bluebonnet takes the guesswork out of planning/delivery! Because it utilizes HQIM, learning science, AND is PERFECTLY aligned with TEKS, there's no worry/guesswork/hope I'm covering effectively/. ALSO, it includes ALL of the resources needed, so a lot of the time and energy teachers need to spend is reduced.

The importance of ongoing assessment - checks for understanding, questioning, etc.

Student Activity Book can provide information on how to engage students participation/thinking/comprehension/ during the lesson, but honestly, I would use those as a guide, not as is. Consideration of students in the classroom is important to modify/adapt those resources as needed.

Read, Draw, Write (RDW) is one routine embedded in the materials. This routine supports student problem-solving by giving them a simple, repeatable, and systematic approach to solving problems that they can internalize. Bluebonnet is literally aligned with all of T-TEP. We are looking at ALL students in all standards...this allows us to bring in varied materials. It also allows for vertical supports (Teachers Guide)which seems inherent in our coherence elements.

I am definitely needing an in depth training to grapple a little more with this.
