Sadako died at the age of 11 because of the radiation emitted by the atomic bomb.

Sadako passed out in a running race and was taken to hospital. And he's been in the hospital for the news he's been afraid of since childhood. As a result of radiated radiation, he became leukemia patient.

Based on a superstitious belief, Sadako had decided to make 1000 crane birds out of paper. He had a friend at the hospital. But he died before his friend Sadako. Sadako did not lose hope, and he proceeded with this superstition.
