The Continental army retreted back to Virgina. There were about 1,900 British men and about 4,400 American men. After the Contonental Army retreted they got new supplies and then marched back to NC And also collecting new troops before marching back to NC. I got 80% on my quiz.

They went to war because, ¨The American Army under Nathanael Greene had recently retreated from the British into Virginia. After gathering new troops and fresh supplies, Greene decided to go back on the attack. He crossed the border back into North Carolina and marched toward the British under General Cornwallis.¨

This battle was one of the largest battles in the Southern Colonies. At Guilford Courthouse in Greensboro, North Carolina in March 15, 1781. General Nathanael Greene commanded overall  4,400 American solders. General Charles Cornwallis commanded 1,900 British troops and he knew he was out numbered ,but had confidence in his highly trained and experienced troops.  The Americans had retreated to Virginian ,but he now had new troops and fresh supplies. He and his troops crossed the border back to North Carolina to go against the British. When the Americans reached Guilford Courthouse they set up there defense . The  Americans copied a strategy to that used by Daniel Morgan at the Battle of Cowpens. When the British attacked the Americans they fired a little and then retreated. They did this one more time before the british got to the main force. The Americans lost ,but the British felt like losers because they losed a little under halve of there solders.
