Baseball is one of Americas most beloved sports. It was invented in 1839 and the first major leuge baseball game was played may 4, 1871. Baseball is very well known in America and in Japan. The most veiws ever recorded of a baseball game was on the game 7 of the world series in 1986. It is estimated that 55 to 60 million people watched this game. This is almost 1/5 of the population of America. Baseball is usually safe but it gets more and more competitive the farther you go along in baseball. In little league there are just about no injuries. But from 2002 to 2008, 439 baseball players were injured each year. UCL injuries are most common in baseball. There usually aren't severe injuries in baseball, but sometimes fights breakout among the players. Baseball is a really competitive game and it can get very heated between players. These games usually ocure against rival teams. Although they aren't as common as football fights but they occure every once and a while. They are usually stoped and are put to rest.

A video of baseball

In this video it explains how the drag of a baseball has changed the offense of the game and how common homeruns are. In the video they say that the drag of a ball has decreased so the offense has increased. We can observe from the video is that the drag of a baseball majorly affects how far the ball can go. I can infer that if the drag had gone up the offense would have gone down. I can also infer if the drag goes down to much, then baseball would be to offensive and there would be to much of it. Lastly we can infer that if a baseball was a different shape then everything would be different. The drag would be different and how far it flew would be different. Its just interesting to take something big about a sport and think of how it would be different.

What speed is in baseball

Speed relates to everything in baseball. But it is most important to a pitcher. If a pitcher throws a ball to slow then it will be easyier to hit, but the ball will go less far because the harder you throw the harder you hit it. Anyways, a MLB pitcher usually throws a baseball 92 mph. As the ball travels from the pitchers hand he throws it to homeplate. The distance between homeplate and the pitchers mound is 60 feet 6 inches. This gives a batter about half a second to think to swing or not to swing. See you might think it will be easy to get it down but pitchers throw different pitches so you can't know and they keep you guessing. That is why baseball is so hard. You have no idea what is comming and it is nearly impossible to do anything. Velocity doesn't really play a role in baseball but acceleration definitly does. Running is a big part of baseball because you need to run fast to get to each base. The faster you accelerate the better. There is a 90 foot distance between bases so you have to excellarate super quick. That is why acceleration plays a big part in baseball. Ok now that you know how speed and acceleration works in baseball imagine this. You are a baseball player and you are stepping up to homeplate. There are thousand of people watching you. The umpire says "play ball!!!". The pitcher gets ready to throw. You get ready to swing and whooosh. The ball goes straight past you. "Strike one". says the umpire. At this point you are not doing well. You are getting sweat in you eyes and you are nervouse. The pitcher can see this. you think to yourself that you are going to swing at this next one no matter what. The pitcher throws the ball and you swing. The ball isn't even there by the time your swing is done. he had thrown you a curveball. Now its not good. The pitcher loads up throws it to you and you swing for your life. You hit the ball and your hands immediatly sting. You run to first base but you aren't fast enough. The ball is thrown to first base and you here the first base umpire say "your out". That is what a MLB player goes through just about everyday.

the work of a baseball

Ok so I had to do all of the math to find the work. So from what I found the work of a pitcher throwing a baseball from the pitchers mound to the home plate is 55903. This seems a little big but that is what I found. Work is being done on offense and defense in baseball. In offense you have to apply work to a bat to make it move fast enough to hit the ball. On defense you have to throw a ball around super hard. So most of the time you are doing work in baseball. The only time you aren't doing work is when you are in the dugout and not doing anything.

How balanced and unbalanced forces play a part in baseball

In baseball there are many unbalanced and balanced forces that occure. One balanced force is when the ball is sitting in a players mit. An unbalanced force occurs right after that when the player throws the ball. Another balanced force is the fans in the stand. The stands are holding them up while gravity is pushing down on them. An unbalanced force is when a player is running. The drag is slowing them down but their strength is stronger then the drag so it is unbalanced. One last balanced force is when a player is holding a bat. Gravity is pulling down, but the player is holding it up. One last unbalanced force is when there is a popup and the ball is going down. Gravity is pullling it down while only drag is slowing it down.

CER of baseball

Claim: Baseball is a very sciency sport and stuff like work and forces relates to baseball very much.
Evidence: In basseball work is being done almost every second. A player is running around. Someone is throwing a ball. And a player is swinging a bat. Forces are also being applied every second. The fans are on stands and gravity is pulling them down while the stands are holding them up. A baseball is falling from the sky and basically nothing is stopping it. A player is running and only drag is slowing him down. A baseball is being thrown and only drag is slowing the ball down.

Reasoning: As you can see baseball is a very sciency sport. every aspect of the game is science. When a baseball is thrown, forces are acting upon it and slowing it down. When a player is throwing a ball, work is being done because he is applying force to it. When a player is accelerating or decelerating, that is science. Even the fans have forces acting upon them. Gravity is pulling them down while the stands are holding them up. Even a baseball that is holding still has forces acting on it. It is being pulled be gravity and getting held up by the mit. Baseball is a great sport but it is also very sciency and mathmatical. Everything that happens in baseball is science.

What I think would make baseball better

See baseball is fun but it isn't perfect.
See I asked myself what could make baseball better. I researched this topic. I tried to put the URL in put it wouldn't load so here is this.https://bleacherreport.com/articles/1244234-mlb-10-ways-to-improve-major-league-baseball. Copy and paste it into google to look at it. I agree with this article somewhat. What I was thinking would make the game better would be make it faster. The main reason some people don't like how slow it is (I think it is fine). Another problem that somepeople have is make the regular season shorter and the playoffs longer. I have heard multipul people complain about this. Im not sure how to build a prodotype for this but I will tell you what I imagine it would be like. Games would be 7 innings (instead of 9) and the regular season would be 120 games (instead of 162 games). Then the playoofs would be more teams. Only 16 teams make it into the playoffs, which is about half of the teams in total. I would make it so there were 20 teams that made it in.
To market and share this product I am going to first, share it with you, then with my friends and group chat. I will see what they think of this and finally, I will make a conclusion and adjust my product to your suggestions. That is how I think that we could make baseball better and more entertaining.
