One the top values for me from our activity was "communication". Why? because that is how I found my new friends in college. Without valuing the importance of communication I would've probably had no one to talk to. And let’s be honest not having friends in college would take from the college experience and if you don't have college experience you will have many regrets later down the line!

Goals!!!

Although UWB isn’t really known for having great social atmosphere. Getting to know more people would be beneficial for me in the future

I went to resource fair and learned about opportunities of studying abroad and learned about using the Collaboratory for personal projects! (Sadly due to my busy week I couldn't go to two events). However if there was another pathway event It would be great If it included people that work in different tech companies to help students with internships or assisting them in anyway they can in general.

Update*

Through out my appointment with career services. I have learned different paths i could take when applying to internships. For example If i want follow a path aviation companies like space x and boeing would be great options!

one question I have is that how should I prepare for Inter fairs or job fair that are going to happen at bothell?

And with mechanical i wanna learn about thermodynamics

Goals!!!

Explore career paths within my intended majors

Research my intended majors.

When it comes to having conversations in a professional setting, I have to mentally prepare myself first due to anxiety. And that comes with different levels. Because i tend to have more anxiety during interviews than other settings. I feel comfortable when the conversation is about something i have knowledge of. And i need get more comfortable with conversations that i have no context of which would definitely increase my confidence more!

Questions for Alumni

If they graduated with EE or Physics than I would ask these questions

1. How can I be successful in engineering? And to what would be the most important skill I need to gain for that success?

2. How can I start my path of doing research during my time in college? Whether that be for a professor or just for myself

3. What would be a great and fun project I could start on doing during my free time that is more hands on? And a project that would look great in my resume

LinkedIn

https://www.linkedin.com/in/seyed-j-50224b2b5/

* I didn't have a professional pfp so I will add one when i get one

Podcast

After listening to the podcast I can very much agree on the fact that purpose relieves us from many self isolating moments. Why? Because sometimes you'll feel lost without a purpose and when you feel lost. You feel vulnerable. Thus as a person who suffers at times when it comes to having a purpose. I can only grow with time because I believe that purpose is something that will find its way to you however you still need to take the first step of opening yourself to many possibilities than the second step is to accept it. Which is why when it comes to career goals I will always have a open mindset and try many things and choose the right path for my future. it may or may not be the easier or the best path but it's the right one!

for LinkedIn I did circuit design learning. I learned about how to read electrical schematics. and how to build circuits on breadboards. so to build basic circuit you'll need resistors, capacitors, and inductors. the video basically explained each components and how they connects to each others.

And during my time on Alumni panel. I've gained some knowledge of different industries as the alumni people each shared their experiences. and a particular conversation stood out to me. which was from a person who worked at apple. the reason was that he basically gave me info about how a lot of EE students have job opportunities. and even more info on how I should build my resume.
