Stevens and LBL show that emotional recovery and motivation are key after setbacks, while Mathews and blanding highlight reflection and persistence as ways to learn from mistakes. Making these connections helped me see that failure is not just a negative event- it is a process that builds strength and insight. This will help me organize my essay around my points of struggle, reflection, and action

Stevens shows what happens when a person experiences the "unsheilded" failure mathews describes. This makes Mathews claim more personal and emotional proving that lessons learned through pain can lead to reinvention

These two quotes and authors create complete picture of "learning culture." Mathews cells for educations to create this mindset early in life, and edmondson shows how it should continue it into adulthood. Both stress that shielding people from failure- whether students or employees- prevents resilience, creativity, and self improvement. Instead they advocate for compassion, reflection, and guidance after failure as the path to success.
