As a student who has finished a course in Educational Technology, I understand the concerns about AI in schools. It's important to realize that no technology is a cure-all for schooling. AI should be considered as a tool that enhances, not replaces, instructors. Historical trends, such as the rise and fall of MOOCs, have demonstrated that technology alone cannot address educational difficulties; human connection and intelligent integration are required. Ethical considerations must also be carefully considered, to ensure that AI enriches, rather than undermines, the human aspects of teaching (Roblyer, Hughes, 2019).

As a university student who has studied educational technology, I understand the concerns about AI in education, but I believe they’re largely unnecessary. History has shown that no technology is a panacea, and AI is no exception. It’s designed to support, not replace, the crucial role of teachers by handling routine tasks, thus allowing educators more time to engage with students on a deeper level. The lesson from the past is clear: technological tools must be carefully integrated with teacher activities to be effective. While AI introduces new possibilities, it won’t eliminate the need for human judgment and insight in the classroom. Ethical concerns, such as privacy, are valid, but with thoughtful implementation, these can be managed effectively. By applying lessons learned from past experiences, such as the need to critically evaluate the impact of technology, we can ensure AI enhances education without compromising the essential human elements that make learning meaningful. (Roblyer & Hughes, 2019).

As the Webster university student who is studing Educational Technologyat the moment, I understand the concerns about AI in education. While it's true that AI can improve learning experiences, it should complement, not replace, human interaction. Educators play a crucial role in developing emotional connections and critical thinking, which AI cannot replace. Balancing technology with traditional teaching methods can create a more interesting educational environment, ensuring that AI serves as a tool for empowerment rather than a full replacement of a teacher because teachers always be more important than technology (Naisbitt 1984).

(Roblyer & Hughes, 2019).

It is known how learning management systems (LMS) first raised similar concerns in educational technology. LMS systems were once considered to centralize education and minimize the role of a professor. In fact, the opposite was the case. These technologies enabled the teachers to handle their time effectively and focus on students and individual help (Beatty, 2019). AI is also a technology like LMS. It can assess and monitor progress in a way that it cannot substitute teachers, thus giving more time to students and foster creativity (Luckin, 2017). In the same way as with LMS, we can employ AI in order to improve education, rather than to eliminate it.

In my opinion, as a student who has studied Educational Technology, I share some of the concerns about AI in education. While AI can offer support, relying too heavily on it risks losing the personal touch that teachers bring to the classroom. Human interaction is vital for learning, and no technology can fully replace that. Also, the ethical implications of using AI to monitor students raise serious concerns about privacy. From past experiences, I’ve seen that technology should support, not dominate, education. In my point of view we need to be careful not to let AI overshadow the human aspects of teaching.

Educators will always be more important than technology. The reason for this is that technology and AI can provide information and tools, but just a teacher can give you emotions, motivation, and emotional connection. Teachers should understand the role of technology in the classroom, and also knowing about limitations as well. Understanding technology can make classes more efficient and support students during learning process, but it should be balanced; because teacher should cover the needs of students that the technology cannot. While technology can provide tools, information, and resources, teachers are able to support, guide, and are crucial for a meaningful and successful learning experience.

As we can see, The use of technology in classes is increasing day by day. Teachers are concerned about this situation and think that gadgets, computers can replace them. However, as we read in the article, “Teaching is one of the most time and labor-intensive jobs in our society” (Roblyer & Hughes, 2019). And we cannot expect technology or AI replacing them. Technology can only help to develop curriculum and educational materials for educators. Usually publishers or district developers provided the majority of assistance and it do not seem to change in near future (Roblyer & Hughes, 2019).

Leyla Hassan

Though I recognize there are worries, I think it's critical to keep in mind that AI is a tool, not a substitute for instructors in the classroom. According to what I studied in my course on educational technology, technology should improve human experience rather than make it worse (Cuban, 2013). AI can automate jobs, personalize learning, and give immediate feedback, freeing up teachers to concentrate on developing deeper understanding and relationships with students. But we need to ensure ethical use and exercise caution when relying too much (Selwyn, 2018). AI should be utilized to enhance critical thinking and human interaction, not to replace them.

The use of AI technology is not an issue that we should worry about, since beneficial usage of it overweight its drawbacks. The application of AI tools, cannot alter teachers job position, since, as it is mentioned in the book "good teachers are more essential now then ever". Naisbitt's (1984) once claimed that the introduction of new technology into society should be counterbalanced by human response, the more high is technology, the more high touch it requires. By the appearance of new technologies, stronger teacher, to handle and use these technologies will be in demand. We will need teachers who will use the power of new technology, whether AI or different, to upgrade the quality of their lessons.

As more and more advanced technology is introduced every year we are in need of teachers who understand the significance of technology and can use it to benefit education. They should be able to find solutions to overcome the cons of technology and use it to the fullest to help their students learn. Moreover educators are often expected to provide support, motivate, teach empathy, understanding and respect for others. Human interaction is also very important for the wellbeing of individuals (Roblyer, Hughes, 2019).

In my experience as an Educational Technology learner I have learned that technology can help with Ideas, with brainstorming. However, digital tools should be used very carefully. According to Roblyer and Hughes (2019) technology should connect with teaching objectives in order to keep students interest and keep them engaged and excited. Lack of communication and interactions made it difficult and complicated to work together and be motivated. Therefore, the best option is to combine traditional classroom and different learning styles including technology. In that way education is going to be inclusive for everybody.

But there is no worries in terms of teaching and learning from internet programmes. Because it helps us to be in the theme with newest content, information and data. For example, looking at the past where it says that technologies change faster than teachers. It is considered to be totally fact. Despite this fact, teachers are also human being ant it means that they can make mistakes and think and do everything slowly. Moreover, special programs in technologies are created to do everything fast and without mistakes. As an example we can take Turnitin, which programmed by technology and it checks grammar.

(Roblyer & Hughes, 2019).

A popular saying is that technology is yesterday's science fiction. But science fiction also shows us that technology brings undesirable as well as desirable changes. For example, greater access to cell phones and tablets in classrooms means that online communication and information are increasingly available. But as recent events have shown, communications always come with caveats, and readily available information is not always reliable or helpful. New technological horizons make it clear that it is time to analyze carefully the implications of each implementations decisions. Better technology demands that we become critical consumers of its power and capability. We are responsible for deciding just which science fiction becomes reality ( Roblyer & Hughes, 2019 ).

(Roblyer & Hughes, 2019). Technology brings to the educational system not only desirable but also not desirable changes. As students easily use their phones , laptops and tablets online communication is available during the lesson. Moreover , teachers can not follow up the new technologies sometimes and it can be problematic for them to keep up. Artificial intelligence still cannot provide what an ordinary person has - things like empathy, understanding, caring and other types of emotions that Ai cannot give. There are also different types of students who find it easier to perceive information precisely when a person explains it to them, regardless of whether they have read it or seen it. Thus, the demand for teachers has not been falling for several decades and, I think, will not fall in the near future. In addition, all computer materials and technologies are just a tool that the teacher must manage.(Roblyer & Hughes, 2019).
