Vera realizes that she murdered him. He selected 10 people who have commited "crimes" and follows out his plan to create a schemful murder mystery based on a ryhme he heard of when he was a child. All the plans work out accordingly and the letter he writes gets put into the bottle and thorwn into sea to fufill his plans.
