We are willing to work with technology, but we do not have access to reliable ibletechnological devices msot of the times. Money is what really makes the difference. In the school I am working at this year, they have ivnested a lot of money on smart blackboards, but it has been the first year I have seen it. Nevertheless, eventhough we are trying to go a step further into the acquisition of new devices, there are still limitations: internet connection suffers from interferences, and so, we cannot work at ease some days. It seems as if we need to have a Plan B to work with in case technology does not work. The same happens with the WIFI, it does not offer high speed possibilities and it really depends on the number of people working at a time. Moreover, sometimes students are offered tablets, but teachers are not. So, we need to work with different applications and sometimes that slows down the peace of the class development.

At my school the Internet connection is not very good. Sometimes when I use kahoot, students have to use their net.
Also, computers are very slow and old. A good thing, though, is that every classroom has a computer for the teacher. For students, the teacher has to carry the tablets to the classroom and sometimes they are out of battery. So, it turns out to be more practical, for students to use their own cell phones

In my schools we are trying to improve the technological infrastructure. Students are given tablets and we have digital boards in the different classes. However, there is a lot to do, since Internet connection is sometimes very slow or inexistent. It has been recently decided that students cannot use their phones in the schools, only in case the teacher ask them to do some activities. However, we prefer them to use different devices.

Our school had to move to a different building this school year, so the internet connection is not very good. There are also many problems with the interactive whiteboards. We also have to figure out how to split the vocational classes that are on computers between the two buildings. We have a great principal who understands the importance of technology and supports new technology and services. She has bought tablets for the classroom, and regularly holds training sessions for teachers on new software and hardware.

Students sometimes use their own mobile phones for lessons.

The connection to the Internet is quite reliable. It is getting better. All classrooms have either a smartboard, smart screen or PC with projector. All teachers are equipped with laptops. Majority of students are equipped with tablets. We use MS Teams platform. The problem is that some licenses for suitable applications are expensive and we have a little financial source for those.

We have internet access at school -it needs to be improved now- and 80% of the students have the internet at home. There are classes with a projector and a laptop connected to the internet, some of the classes have smart boards and students can use their devices for some school assignments in class. Our school has computers and projectors or interactive whiteboards or smartboards in every classroom. The problem is their quality in some classes - projectors are outdated or defective, they cannot be replaced as quickly as necessary. Computers are also getting old or running with problems. Regular scheduled maintenance of equipment is required, currently this is not the case, we are more in the situation where acute problems are being solved.

In my school there isn't a Wi-Fi connection and we use cable connection. We have an IT laboratory and one LIM per classroom with a computer (laptop or desktop) and a printer. The computers are becoming obsolete and the LIMs are in need of an update (both software and hardware). We use Microsoft 365 for education and there is absolute need for an update in the network department.

In comparison to other schools we have a very good technological equipment. We have optical internet connection, we have interactive boards in many classes, we have data cameras and mobile data cameras, we also have few classes equipped with cameras for filming lessons. We also have 4 sets of mobile laptops for lessons and 3 sets of different kinds of tablets. All that said not many teachers use these technologies at the moment, or feel the need/incentive to apart from mandatory remote learning caused bt Covid-19.

The Department of Secondary Technical and Vocational Education and Training has among its pillars for the upgrade of the VET system, the equipment of all schools with new ICT technologies and teacher training. All schools are equipped with computer labs, there is fast internet access and wifi throughout the school, as well as tablets that teachers can borrow and use during lessons. In Tartu VET in general we are "ticked all the boxes". What is not so excellent, is digital content and resources. There is not a good system in Estonia that allows to collecting and sharing of special materials, digital content, for vocational schools. The teachers are very overloaded with work during the school year and also there is not a very high culture of cocreating.
