Plan (potentially) on how I will write my body paragraphs:

1) Early foundation: predating the term "intersectionality" and looking at historical contexts of feminism and black activism, what were the limitations here?

2) Crenshaw's contribution: coining the term in 1989, explaining compound effects of discrimination.

3) Expansion to art - so what now? Legal studies to influence art history and how scholars begin to understand and represent the intersecting force of identity.
