Sodium and chloride make up most of the seawater
If you took the salt from the bottom of the ocean and spread it evenly on the surface it would 500 feet thick.
Average salinity is 35 ppt=parts per thousand
When the ocean water evaporates so the ocean will be really salty because when the water evaporates it leaves the salt behind.
