More specifically, I think activities such as discussions and other oral interactions (debates, oral summaries of or responses to material), readings (teacher reading for students, students reading for each other, silent reading), simulations of ‘real-life’ activities (role-plays, etc.), language focus (grammar/vocabulary/phonetics explanations), students and teacher presentations on topics, writing in different forms (free/creative writing, paragraphs/essay composition, written summaries or responses to material), hands-on activities… Well, all of this could be included in the L2 class.

For example, a kid can be approaching to oral communication when she/he is listening to other people´s discourses and this kid does not even realize it. So, learning is an individual proccess that have different meanings to everyone. Me Saying how a language must be learn is saying lies sorry :'( I can speak about my personal experience, that I definitively don't think that was like very rigorous like to become in a solid process. In my case, it was all about grammar during school, and memorizing vocabulary. In some way it helped me in the future, but at that moment it was not functional. Then at the university, I kind of be immersed into a communicative approach based in the manual "The market leader". A lot of activities about writing in contexts you definitively did not have any idea or reference about. Also speaking in artificial situations that were not significant. Then at the School of Languages it was a little bit different, different approaches and more contextualized topics that definitively were more efficient for learning. 

But, I can not speak about A PROCESS. It is going to be rhetoric, but it depends on the way you conceive the language, and the way the person that is studying conceives the language. From my perspective, as a learner, not as a teacher when I will have to respond to students' perspectives.... I only have a conviction: as learning a language seems to be learning a culture, and a values... I think that is the most important part. There are unlimited strategies to learn the linguistic competences, I think all of them are effective, there is not a most efficient path. However, the culture and the values that you are approaching to, have to pass through the reflection, the abandon of prejudices, the open of mind... and I find a really effective path to try to learn those aspects: THINKING, Debating, Dialogue, Looking for different perspectives about the same culture and values.  ]]> 2021-12-13 18:39:43 UTC https://padlet.com/nataliafrancobe/kxsgmn61j3crysx7/wish/1945296138 https://padlet.com/nataliafrancobe/kxsgmn61j3crysx7/wish/1945308860 I considerer there could be necessary to pay big attention to what a s could draw the interest, to teach it or be learned. Also, providing many opportinities for ss to approach the language and culture, to make guesses, corroborate them and expand their ideas and competences in the language.
