2)VIA projects help students appreciate and learn through other aspects of life instead of learning the normal curriculum subjects. This inculcates values in them which may or may not be applied in the future.

3)On the other hand, VIA projects are extremely time-consuming and values taught in the projects may not be applied in the future. There are also certain restrictions which may not allow, as some people in projects may freeload off others. However, what they fail to see is that project-based learning enhances generic skills such as critical thinking creativity and problem-solving. It is a very widely held misconception that such generic skills exist. There will still be differences in the quality of the projects, just as there would be in the quality of essays. Hence, VIA projects may not add value to students' learning.

Some argue that students do not care about giving back to society after going through VIA projects at school. In fact, many students still have the same perception about community work; that it is boring and has no incentive whatsoever. Students just do it because they are told to do so by the school and there is no sincerity on the students' part. However, there are students who believe that community work is an important part of their lives, and have been able to learn about the importance about giving back to society through VIA projects. These students learn to feel pity for the underprivileged and through the VIA project, have had the caring culture instilled into them, and are motivated to help others.

Some may argue that VIA Projects are unecessary and is very time consuming and the time used could have been used for studying, which is much more important instead. In fact, the people from this school of thought claim that students do not learn much from these projects and are doing the project just for the sake of doing it which is redundant. However, VIA Projects teaches values, which cannot be learned from just studying. counter argument: VIA projects help to prepare us for the future of education and improves our intellectual skills. it promotes teamwork and moral values in our daily lives. for instance, VIA projects would require the cooperation of every member. from a recent study conducted by the straits times, shows that 67% of students prefer project work as compared to individual learning. However, what they fail to see is that not every student would be willing to participate and give their best for VIA projects. In fact, most of the time, these minority of students tend to feed off the efforts of other students so they can take the easy way out. Moreover a study conducted by CNA Insider shows that a good 13% of students have been experienced difficulties in group cooperation and the imbalance of efforts amongst group members. the other 14% of students feel that VIA projects are not educational and do not benefit them in the near future.

Even though this project to to help students learn through this programme and equip them with good values however students don’t see it that way. Students treat this via project as a waste of time and just don’t care about this project. Students just do this project for the sake of it and after it they don’t take away anything from the project. However, what they fail to see is that this via serve them well and it allows them to take away good values such as caring and responsibility. I agree that VIA projects do not add value to students learning. This is because it is not graded and students do not take it seriously therefore it defeats the purpose.VIA is extremely time consuming and it is extremely difficult for students to juggle between their studies and VIA projects. However, people might argue that VIA do indeed add moral values to students. This would allow students to do good deeds outside of school. They can also take it at their own pace without pressure from teachers.

2.VIA projects is not relevant in what students’ study in school. For example, students will have to focus on their academical studies and a VIA project will just be a distraction or and extra burden to students. As the focus of VIA project would be to extend help to another party, the focus would be on them rather than picking up new values. 
3. However, many fail to see that VIA projects help students equip new life skills such as giving back to the community.

VIA projects adds value to students' learning because it enhances student's group, organisational and interpersonal skills. Through the planning of the project  it gives students and opportunity to cooperate and communicate effectively with one another. However, students often have different viewpoints and opinions from each other which may cause tension to arise while working together.

In fact, the people from this school of thought claim that such projects can distract students from their studies and hinder their academic development. However, they fail to see that VIA projects complete the students' holistic development. In the conventional classroom setting, students often suffer a mental strain from trying to absorb information.
