         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li> Born June 10, 1940, Margaret Jean Harmon grew up in Welch, West Virginia, in the Appalachian Mountain. She married Watson Douglas and became Watson Jen.</li><li>She has a bachelor's degree in nursing in 1964</li><li>She earned A master of science in nursing in psychiatric and Mental health nursing in 1966.</li><li>A Ph.D. in educational psychology and counseling in 1973, all from the University of Colorado at Boulder. </li><li> From 1983 to 1990, she was Dean of University of Colorado School of Nursing and Associate Director of Nursing Practice at University Hospital.</li><li>She is the founder of the original Center for Human Caring in Colorado</li><li> Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing; past President of the National League for Nursing.</li><li>Founding member of the International Association in Human Caring and <a href="https://www.watsoncaringscience.org/intl-caritas-consortium/">International Caritas Consortium</a>. </li><li>She is the Founder and Director of the non-profit foundation, Watson Caring Science Institute.</li><li> Author/co-author of over 30 books on caring</li></ul><div><br><br></div>]]></description>
