For the past three years, I have taught second grade and I loved it a lot. With this big transition of moving to another state I decided it would be the perfect time to begin my master's in Instructional Design. In the first module, I learned that in Gagne's nine Events of Instruction, some events can be repeated several times in the same lesson. I am excited to begin this course with everyone!

I love living in Dallas, except there is no mountains, no beach, no wind, no snow.. haha! So therefore, I travel! My photo was from our Colorado trip this summer and we are on top of Pike's Peak. I have two teenagers, one who is at Baylor University in his second year, and my daughter is a Junior in High school.

I am a current Audio Visual teacher at Crandall HS, and I love it! I plan to stay in this role for a couple of more years and then move on from there.

One thing I have learned from Module 1 is the ADDIE model. I have never seen this before, and for someone who enjoys creating and designing my curriculum, this was a great model for me to look at from now on. I learned that ADDIE stands for Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate, and it provides a clear framework for instructional design. What stood out to me is that it’s an ongoing cycle, where evaluation happens throughout the process, not just at the end. This showed me the importance of carefully planning and adjusting based on learner needs.

Hi everyone, My name is Rushell Crane. I am originally from London, England but grew up mostly in Las Vegas. I currently live in Salt Lake City, Utah with my husband and two children. I used to be a corporate trainer and now work in the CTE department in my local school district where I bring people of industry into classrooms, career fairs and assemblies. I also create curricula K-12 about various careers and CTSOs. In my spare time I love to travel, the picture above is from this last March when we went to Hobbiton in New Zealand. I am excited to learn from this class and incorporate in my current role at work. One thing I learned about Module one is ADDIE, although I have done contract ID work before I have not seen this model and look forward to applying it practically and seeing the theory in action.

Hi everyone! I'm Adriane Davis. I'm from Sweet Water, AL, but I currently reside in Tuscaloosa. I have two children, ages 10 and 5. They keep us very busy. My 10 year old plays competitive soccer, so our weekends are pretty busy. I work in Higher Education; that's what lead me apply for the Instructional Technology Program. In Module 1, being introduced to ADDIE was new. I'm so excited about this course and learning more, not only from this course but from all of you as well.

Hello! My name is Jason and I am from Tuscaloosa, Alabama. I am currently Director of Technology for the Office of Teaching Innovation and Digital Education at The University of Alabama. I have worked for UA for 14 years. This is a picture of my family. My wife's name is Melanie and we have been married for 12 years. I have two daughters Lillie-Gail (10) and Ridgely (8). I am looking forward to learning about the theory behind instructional design as I seek to build better training material for the employees I provide technical support to at OTIDE. One thing I have learned from Module 1 is the ADDIE process and its defined steps that allow for the creation and revision of instructional materials.
