It was fun engaging with the elderly and talking to them about their life. I felt they were really down to earth and joyful, and they were glad to have us go interact with them. It was a very fulfilling experience and i enjoyed getting to know them.

i personally think that this was a very insightful experience. it started off very awkward but gradually, we warmed up to the elderly and while some did not, it was very nice to see the energy they shared with us in the dances and karaoke sessions.

getting the opportunity to talk to the elderly was amazing. i learned a lot about their experiences and values that they’ve learned throughout the years and enjoyed talking about our own life stories.

I enjoyed talking to the elderly and hearing them share about their past experiences. I also learnt that it wasn't that easy to receive education back then so i'm really grateful for what we currently have.

through this meaningful experience i got to engage with elderly people, whom i would not usually get the chance to. i got to know them and gained some valuable and interesting advice (like how self defence techniques, squatting stance to not fall easily? HAHHA) anyway i had fun singing, talking and dancing with them.

I learnt to be patient with the elderly and learnt to engage them with different conversation starters. the elderly have different needs. some were not interested with the activities we planned and rather talk to us instead.

Today was a great experience overall, managed to talk with a lot of different elderly individuals, learning a lot about them as well as sharing my own experiences as well, one in particular told me about his previous life as a water maintenance worker and electrician, who lives with his sister and lost many of his brothers over the years, he also talked about his own health issues and issues with his leg, I also had fun talking about my own life and my issues with my life and family , I learned a lot from him as well, together with the dancing and singing, it helped to bring up the mood and provide a great and wonderful atmosphere and experience for one to go to. Ultimately I feel that I had something release from myself through this experience.
