After the attacks of September 11, 2001, patriotism took on many masks and many faces. For some it meant planting flags in their front yards and cherishing the rights we enjoy in this country. For others it took on a flawed and dangerous form. Violence against South Asian, Muslim, Sikh, Hindu, and Arab Americans skyrocketed in the weeks and months after 9/11.

A woman Born and raised in Massachusetts But as a black woman for her Living in a white state makes her feel like a tourist. Some people in her Area only know her as the colored woman. Some want to others do not. When ever she does something in the everyday life people just see her as something not someone and for her it can be difficult. For example, I am an avid reader who supports independent bookstores when traveling.

Throughout the entire length of society people have been called out for racism. In Huck Finn everyone but huck want Jim lynched for escaping but Huck kept him in as a regular human. If everyone had that though process it would have made for a pretty boring story and more lives fully lived.
