However US just put up metal tariffs on all countries last week for protection purposes. 

The United States and Mexico are currently trying to work out a new deal for NAFTA.

Canada is most dependent on NAFTA and since this agreement they’re exports to America have soared and they are the number 1 country who purchases goods from America. So they need to make sure nothing big changes in the NAFTA deal.
