In both types of learning environment, teachers are not present 100% of the time, forcing students to make decisions, enhance their problem solving skills, and gain more confidence to reach out when assistance is needed.

Students attitudes, motivation, and commitment may differ away from the school setting. In addition students may also face more distractions at home as opposed to school.   • PearDeck- Interactive lessons can be created in Google Slide, then share when students to follow along through instruction. With embedded questions, teacher are able to asses students throughout the lesson and provide clarification or needed interventions.  
  • NearPod- Similar to PearDeck, teachers are able to pace the lesson as they are instructing or provide students with criteria to maneuver through lessons at their own pace. 
  • Google Jamboard- A collaborative piece for students to share ideas, answer questions. Jamboard provides teachers with insight on what may have "stuck" from the lesson.  
  • Mentimeter- used as a hook or exit ticket, giving students the chance to reflect on prior knowledge, or use higher order thinking to discover ways skills and content connect to real-world situations.
