         <description><![CDATA[<div>The downfall to online engagement is that it cannot replace face-to-face learning. Students attitudes, motivation, and commitment may differ away from the school setting. In addition students may also face more distractions at home as opposed to school. With this being stated, it is very challenging for teachers to be 100% certain their students are engaged in their online education.&nbsp; However, teachers can implement opportunities to sever as check-ins to gain a better understanding of how students are doing emotionally and academically through the tools and strategies presented.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

With embedded questions, teacher are able to asses students throughout the lesson and provide clarification or needed interventions. &nbsp;</li><li><a href="https://nearpod.com/">NearPod</a>- Similar to PearDeck, teachers are able to pace the lesson as they are instructing or provide students with criteria to maneuver through lessons at their own pace.&nbsp;</li><li><a href="https://support.google.com/jamboard/answer/7424836?hl=en">Google Jamboard</a>- A collaborative piece for students to share ideas, answer questions. Jamboard provides teachers with insight on what may have "stuck" from the lesson. &nbsp;</li><li><a href="https://www.mentimeter.com/">Mentimeter</a>- used as a hook or exit ticket, giving students the chance to reflect on prior knowledge, or use higher order thinking to discover ways skills and content connect to real-world situations. &nbsp;</li><li>Quizizz</li><li>Kahoot&nbsp;</li><li>Formative</li></ul><div><br></div>]]></description>
