My three groups consisted of two foster student enrollment meetings, and one best interest meeting at Whiteville City Schools.

All of these groups have one goal to reach solely for the client/student which is the definition of a task group (Rivas & Toseland, 2017). Everyone in the group worked collaboratively to accommodate the needs of the client/student. The members of these groups have been invited to join the group with a particular role for attending as well (Rivas & Toseland, 2017).

Some of the traits that task groups have are high disclosure, treatment plans, and are high client focused (Rivas & Toseland, 2017).

The group dynamics have been shown through communication. The communication was equally divided among group members. Since red robin is where members go around the room for introductions, red robin was used along with free floating (Rivas & Toseland, 2017).

Group cohesion includes different characteristics that keep a group in tact. This group demonstrated a healthy, engaging cohesion and the need of security (Rivas & Toseland, 2017). Social Integration in the textbook is defined by containing unanimity in a group which has been demonstrated in group one. (Rivas & Toseland, 2017). Group one shares the foster student's goals at school. The shared norms about school policies as well as the shared desired end result.

Time Limit- No time Limit
Leadership of Group- Male foster student
Closed Membership

Group dynamics is basically a process of communicating by using four dimensions that is important for group work among peers (Rivas & Toseland, 2017). Group two showed their group cohesion by getting their desired goal for the foster student to be placed in the correct classroom with the best teacher since group cohesion is about the need of security (Rivas & Toseland, 2017). There was never a quite moment in this group session and it flowed smoothly from beginning to end.

Time Limit - None
Leadership of Group- Male Principal
Closed Membership

The group dynamics in this last group contained no subgroups, and no cues were necessary. Since communication is important and how it is transmitted, it seemed scripted and well prepared. The effects of cohesion within this group showed through their expressions of the negative feelings involving the behavioral patterns (Rivas & Toseland, 2017).

Time Limit- No Time Limit
Leadership of Group-Male Principal
Closed Membership
