  • Most the time it was used by Sufi circles to stay awake for their religious rituals. 
  • It was also boiled in a pan to create a liquid from the coffee beans much how it is mainly used today.
  • There is a legend that Ahmed al-Ghaffar found out about coffee by feeding it to his goats and then they were very energetic.
