I felt a burst of excitement however, being able to experience something completely new was thrilling. Many questions went through my head. Will I fit in? Will I meet new people? Will I have wonderful teachers? Will I get lost finding my classes and struggle to adapt to the school atmosphere. The class was welcoming and I saw a few familiar faces which was a relief. I was glad that Mrs. Gonzales was friendly and she seems relatable in some aspects. During passing period, everyone seemed like they were rushing to their next class and the halls were crowded with students. People were being pushed, shoved, or stopped. It was a not so pleasant experience. Since I was struggling where to find the actual classroom to attend on the first day, I was maybe 6 minutes late give or take and it was quite embarrassing to walk into a full classroom with eyes shifting towards me as something new has been brought to their attention. I thought it would be boring cause I never really learnt a language before. I didn't have high hopes for myself in learning a language cause I am dominantly and English speaker and I can speak probably less than 0.1% of my native language which makes me quite sad. The class turned out to be quite interesting and more fun than I thought it would be. This wasn't a problem for me in other classes, but it was in Algebra 1 last year. I barely made it through, due to that bad habit. I told myself I would do great if I just stopped procrastinating and stay on schedule. I would flow easily in the class and have no troubles. It payed off, we started off with a little introduction of the teacher and played an energy filled game of Kahoot. Which unfortunately I placed second.
