The people who would come to find gold and prosperity would often be deprived of their lives instead because of their hunger for wealth. The indigenous of America, also known as Native Americans, were forced out of their homes in order for the Americans to continue their search for gold. Another race that was treated similarly by the Americans for this reason was the Asians, who became laborers to assist the Americans in their search for riches.
