In Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, Puss in Boots dies for the eighth time and realizes he is on his last life. When he meets Death itself, he tries to fight it but loses and decides to retire. He goes to a cat shelter, where he meets Perrito, a cheerful dog. Meanwhile, Goldilocks and the Three Bears are searching for him because they want to recruit him to help steal the magical map from Jack Horner. However, they can’t find him, so they decide to steal the map on their own. Puss, Kitty Softpaws, and Perrito also go after the map. They all get caught up in the adventure, including Jack Horner and Goldilocks and the Bears, who are also after the map. As they journey through the dangerous landscape, they all fight to take control of the map. In the end, Puss faces Death again. At first, he tries to run away, but Perrito calms him down. Puss realizes he must face his fears and fight for his last life.
