Shadows are seen in the front of the table and the tangerine shell.

Also the texture that is shown is very real. The tangerine highlight because of the contrast between the negative and positive space and the colors were well used.

The type of line that is most present in the drawing is a curve one since its an orange and they are round :). There is huge amount of value in the drawing, the light source comes from the ceiling which gives a special shine to the fruit, it almost looks like its glowing but that's caused from the contrast between the background and the fruit. There are no complementary colors but the red in the cherry and the orange are analogous.

First of all, the painting's positive space is the tangerine and the negative space is the background. The tangerine, for having an organic shape, is drawn with curved lines and the table is the only part of the painting where are straight lines, as it is has the form of a large cube. Throughout the painting, we can observe the the use of warm colours, just as black and white, and the values from these for creating a 3D illusion and realism, using lights, which comes from the top left, and shadows. In reality it has a physical texture, but it has a visual one due to the representation of the tangerine and the table.

The tangerine and cherries were drawn with curved lines and, talking about the straight lines, the table is the only one that has them amongst all the other shapes. Also, we can observe the use of warm colours (black and white) and the values from these creating the 3D illusion. They were created using lights so that means shadows are involved under the positive space and thats the reason the tangarine looks brigth. Finally, it looks like the painting is real due to the contrast of the lines, colours and values.

Represents a category of the figure, which is organic. This object is in 3D by volume, and gives some illusion or effect by the light that is reflected. The background reflects darkness and a little light. There are the three properties, hue, primary and secondary, the value and the intensity. I can persive that there are a bunch of shadows and lines that form the Shapes and forms, some of them in the table and the others in the clementine.
All of this painting has organic objects. The value is the clue for this type of paintings, because it makes it look more real and gives it texture. This elements make the still life look real in a 3D effect. It has warm colours in different values.

In Jeanne Illenye's artwork, the use of color, value and texture make the subject matter as realistic as possible. It uses a warm, limited palette, whereas the colors clash with each other between the fruits and a deep but empty negative space. The artist applies a lighting direction (probably to simulate a light bulb) which instantly creates a point of focus in the tangerine. I believe the lines are implied and principally defined by the color contrast, creating a sense of energy. The forms that are present in the artwork are mainly organic: they simulate objects that are present in nature; for instance, the tangerine's peel. Some of the shapes that I could find are ovals for the cherries and a rectangular prism for the surface below the fruits. I must say that every single piece of this work has a different texture, from the peel to the surface, making it accurate and life-like.

In the still life painting, the orange is presented as the positive space and the objects around are the negative space. The presence of warm colours are in the atmosphere as a result of the secundary colour in the element of the orange and the red colour in the cherry. There is the use of lines, mostly curved lines, they´re valued enough to make a 3D effect, moreover, they form organic shapes. The source of light come from above, which makes a glowing effect on the objects. So, the shadows are under the fruits. The value applied on the painting makes the 2D shapes to 3D forms, producing the idea as them as real objects (fruits, table and drops). We can see the texture present in the painting, from the marks of the table to the drops of juice.

In addition, the tangerine represents the positive space and the background represent the negative space in the painting.
Jeanne Still Life artwork is based (in this case) in the use of warm colors such as orange in the tangerine and red in the cherry. The contrast of value can be seen when comparing the tangerine and cherry, the tangerine has less value compared to the cherry which means that the light is on top of the tangerine as we can see some highlights in one of the segment membranes. In addition there is a contrast of value also in the albedo and the flavedo parts of the tangerine peel, the falvedo has less value than the albedo. As well, in the cherry some value and highlight were made in the outer skin of the fruit to simulate a sphere. Besides the strongest value can be find in the shadow of the peel’s tangerine and cherry, this shadow has also a contrast with what seems to be a wood table in which less value and highlights are found. This value has helped to represent the form of both fruits so it can be appreciated in a 3D form. Furthermore, some shape can be seen in the cherry, a “circle” shape and a triangle in one of the tangerine segments. Regarding texture the peel seems to have a rougher texture compared to the cherry shell. Moreover, i can find lines in the different value contrast in the composition. By the same token, negative space can be identified as the background and positive space will be both types of fruits plus the wood table.

Ok so firstly, in Jeanne's artwork we can see both positive and negative spaces represented by a tangerine, in the case of positive space, and a dark background in negative space's one. Then, if we emphasize on the tangerine, this has an organic shape due to the type of lines used to make it (a curve and straight line's blend). Moving on, the tangerine's form tend to be a 3 dimensional one due to the value applied on it and, in addition, the tangerine artwork may have a soft texture with some relief. Finally , the artwork uses some soft colours (most of them are inside the red-orange's scale colour) and as black is not considered a color, I can't talk about it. :))

So, this still life painting of what seems to be a half eaten or incomplete tangerine and some cherries is very well done as it uses value appropriately, especially considering that the source of light seems to be inside the tangerine or directly above the fruit. The tangerine is very realistic and its because of a combination of value, color, texture and form. The fruit is the focus of the artwork because it is the only positive space excluding the table or surface, everything else in the artwork is pitch black. Because of the realism of the art, the lines aren't so apparent as they are organic but it can be noted that most of the artwork is drawn with curved lines except for the surface in which they are on which is drawn with straight lines. The artwork gives a sense of heat because of the warmth colors used in an empty background, kinda like a safety feeling to it. The table and the cherries have a rectangular and circular shape respectively while the tangerine in the middle has more organic shapes.

In this art work, what cathches my attention at the first moment, is the tangerine, which is in the middle of the picture; and is the positive space. The negative space is tha blackground, which is totally dark. There are also secondary elements, which you didn't notice after seeing the picture well; those elements are some cherries and a table. The tangerine is made of live colours, and that higlight it from the rest. It have shadows, and also a 3d form that makes it to be seem as with texture.

(miss Heidi, I apologize for sending it late)

ALDAIR VÁSQUEZ In the image we can see how the artist combine and mixture the value of the tangerine and the background, How the colour of the tangerine capts all our attention, the value pf the back ground is very dark and very contrast to see it.

Finally, due to the effect that the painter gave in the interior of the fruit it makes it look very real.

Well, here there is a dark background and the fruit clearly jumps at first to the eye (space)
the skin of the tangerine is really done with detail which gives it texture.
Then, the colors used for the fuit are warm and bright so that helps it to be the center of attention, the shape used in the tangerine i identified were circles and triangles, the lines in the skin of the fruit really gives it a natural look with the form. Also the value is an esssential in making the tangerine get out from the artwork and appear more realistic.

The painting is a texture visually and it is real since this is how the texture of an orange would look.
