The positive feedback showed how we conveyed a certain detail successfully to the audience, making them a preferred reader, for example, the comment "Mise-en-scene done brilliantly". Other aspects gave us a really good audience opinion for example the writing on the leather jacket which we were glad about because we added it in for audience effect, relating to the aesthetics of the genre.

Our feedback for this section was again both positive and negative. Some audience members admired our wide variety whereas others would have preferred less locations and shots, making them a negotiated reader of our media text. We had mixed lip-syncing feedback which is a vital element of our production. Some said it worked really well and others noticed times where the lip-syncs could have been better, which is something I have learnt and will reflect upon.
One particular shot the audience liked was the close up of the red lips and this could link back to my research and be part of a wider recognised convention of music videos, familiar to the audience. One shot that had varied opinions was the heart chocolate shot that we added in a few times throughout the video. We intended to do this in order to provide effect and an aesthetic element to balance out the conceptuality with the narrative. Some people understood our intention as they said "love the use of editing with the hearts" and others said it was too repetitive. Watching the video back I can fully understand as to why it could be seen as too repetitive and one reason could be because we used it a few times in a row, without spacing it out across the video. From this I have learnt that I could have asked for people's opinion once we had edited that section of shots together to see if it was too repetitive and then alter it slightly. One interesting point from the feedback is that one audience member gave us an alternative idea, which none of our group members thought about (10th point) which emphasises the impact early audience feedback can have on the video.
