Some people want to have complete freedom over guns while others want the use of personal arms to be significantly reduced. The banning of fully automatic fire arms is an acceptable thing to come to terms to if the laws were to be changed. If all fully automatic personal fire arms are banned, it would significantly reduce the amount of casualties if shootings in the United States. We should be watching the illegal gun trade because if we do then there will be less people who have guns illegally. Most crimes that happen when the criminal has a gun, the gun is usually a handgun. So guns that are small and easy to get are the ones mostly used by criminals. Stolen guns are the ones used mostly by criminals.According to the 1991 Survey of State Prison Inmates, among those inmates who possessed a handgun, 9% had acquired it through theft, and 28% had acquired it through an illegal market such as a drug dealer or fence.
Of all inmates, 10% had stolen at least one gun, and 11% had sold or traded
