         <title>History of Early Greece</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Early Greek civilization started around 1600 B.C.&nbsp; A major center at that time was a site called Mycenae.&nbsp; It was composed of various monarchies.&nbsp; This center flourished for about 500 years.<br><br>The era of Classical Greece lasted from about 500 B.C. to the conquest of Greece in 338 B.C.&nbsp; Several advancements were made at this time including those in government, economy, and culture.&nbsp; Two wars took place during this time period: the Persian Wars and the Peloponnesian War.<br><br>The Hellenistic Era was a time period in which Greek ideas were widely spread to other places.  As the expansion of the Roman Empire went on, more and more areas were adopting Greek language, lifestyle, and ideas.</div>]]></description>
