He utilizes more than a decade of experience in commercial real estate and finance to oversee the firm’s institutional investment sales. In addition, Ira Virden raises joint venture equity for multi-housing properties in the Pacific Northwest. In February 2017, Ira Virden helped to complete the $47 million sale of The Ellington, a 263-unit apartment complex in Portland. He worked with director Carrie Kahn to lead the company’s investment sales team. The community sits on 11 acres and features a variety of unit styles. He also helped with the sale of Sunfield Lakes, a 200-unit garden-style apartment complex in Sherwood, Oregon. Before joining HHF, Ira Virden worked as senior associate for Apartment Realty Advisors. While there, he helped open the firm's Portland office. He also served Marcus & Millichap in its National Multi-Housing Group, where he was a senior associate and associate director.
