1.skimming
2.scanning

skimming is a method of getting the gist of a story or a paragraph .. By skimming we can only get the general topic of the given paragraph and what we can finally assume what about the para tells in a less time

Scanning is opposite to skimming..
In this we brief all the line given in the paragraph but takes much time and gives you the brief knowledge about the paragraph
