My favorite book to read when I was younger was Junie B. Jones by Barbra Park. The first book of this series was published in 1992. Junie B. Jones is in kindergarten in the first book. She makes it known that her name is "Junie B. Jones. The B stands for Beatrice...". After reading that page, I knew that I was going to love it. Junie B. Jones is a fictional character who is extremely sassy. This is something that I had in common with her and still do today. My favorite book was Junie B. Jones and the Mushy Gushy Valentime and BOO.. and I MEAN It.

A Caldecott Award winning book was Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak in 1964. A young boy named Max left his home and went to where the wild things lived. The animals let Max become their leader. His goal was to create a place for everyone to be happy. As he continues to be the leader, Max realizes that being king is harder work than he thought that it would be. As time passed he noticed that there was something missing. I never read this book as a young child. This was my first time reading it. I believe the lesson this book is trying to teach is to never give up, just keep pushing even when times get hard.

The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs by Jon Scieszka is what the wolf believes is the TRUE story of what really happened with the three little pigs. A wolf was making a cake for his granny's birthday, but he ran out of sugar. The wolf went to his neighbor's house, which was made of straw. He sneezed and accidentally blew the house down. He went to the second house, which was made of sticks, and he sneezed again and the house fell down. The pigs in both houses died and he couldn't let a meal go to waste, so he ate the pigs. Finally, he went to the third house and the pig wouldn't give him sugar. When the wolf sneezed the house did not fall. The pig was rude about the wolf's granny and the wolf got upset and made a scene. The cops arrested the so called, "Big Bad Wolf", for killing two pigs all for a cup of sugar.
