With thinking classrooms, it is important to provide a challenge to students. This will allow them to think mathematically to solve the problem. It can be helpful to model thinking strategies such as "See, Think, Wonder" or "Think, Puzzle, Explore" among other strategies. Other important features of thinking classrooms involve using visibly random groups, vertical non-permanent surfaces and a de-fronted classroom. These will enhance the thinking process by having students work with new thinkers, while increasing interaction and engagement.

Some things I wish to know more about are assessment in a thinking classroom and how to differentiate learning. I believe these will be difficult in this type of format, and may require some further research and ways to implement.

I believe students who don't understand may hide behind the ideas of their group and not learn for themselves. Although there is a chance for teachers to provide hints or extensions while students work, I wonder what other strategies might teachers use to confirm differentiated instruction for all students?

Thank you for reading and sharing ideas,
- C.
