Which parts of your identity do you think are chosen by you, and which are shaped by society? Why?

In my opinion identity choose by yourself develops more through the teen years. When you start developing as a persona, your family and friends shape how you act and your education influences too. At a certain age you start taking you own decisions and changing the way you think can be more difficult. Mostly you develop through your younger years and finishes thought your life.

Think of a conflict or issue you know about. How do different factors (ethniciyt, religion, class, etc.) interact in that situation?

A conflict I know about and has affected the country is gentrification in Spain. As we know, through the years, Spain has received to their country a lot of immigrants especially from countries in Africa. People from Spain are starting to manifest and make them leave since they think crime rates are going up and their culture are dissapearing because of them. I think the government has made a great job giving this opportunities for immigrants but something has to be done to improve security as it was before.

How important do you think theory is for creating social change?

I think theory is absolutely vital for real social change it's the blueprint you need. While passion and action are what get a movement going (the engine, basically), theory, which is the structured ideas and knowledge, serves as the map and the design specification.

If people just react to injustice without understanding the bigger picture, the movements end up being insignificant. That makes them easy for the powers that be to shut down or take over.

What message do you think this U2 song is trying to share about culture, identity, or human experience? Why do you think it matters?

The main message transmited in the song is anti violence that is focused on Nothern Ireland. That U2 message matters because it acts like a global call for peace, reminding everyone that in these kinds of fights, we often stop seeing the other side as fully human. By focusing on shared pain, the song helps us feel empathy for everyone hurt, which is crucial for moving past political labels and choosing a common, peaceful human identity.

How do you think globalization influences the way artists from different parts of the world express their ideas and emotions?

Globalization totally changes how artists express themselves by connecting everyone instantly. It means artists in different countries can see and get inspired by so much more art, music, and styles from all over the world, which blends traditions and creates new, unique stuff. At the same time, they might use their art to talk about global issues like climate change or social justice that affect all of us, and they can reach a huge, international audience through the internet and social media to share their ideas and emotions way beyond their local community.
