Hiding behind a screen and typing mean words over the internet is called CYBERBULLYING.

Any problems you have with someone you should always say it verbally to their face. Do not address problems over the internet because it can lead to bigger consequence.

In my classroom, I will teach digital citizenship and the importance of being a good person through internet use. I will first introduce the THINK model as a way to promote positive communication when using the internet . By giving my students this 5 letter acronym, it will provide them with tools that they can use when using the internet. I will also teach digital safety as a way for my students to stay safe at all times. I will discuss the importance of securing personal information along with the consequences that follow if you do not.

In school, if students do not follow these netiquette rules it can lead to internet privileges being provoked.
