I have always loved all animals and feel connected to them. I want to spend my life giving helping them in any way I can.

My goal for this major is to work as a veterinarian for exotic animals. I want to travel to new countries working with different types of exotic animals, like dolphins, sharks, big cats, etc. I can also see myself working with domesticated animals and have always dreamed of owning my own doggy daycare business. To do that, I would need to double major in business and animal science. This also would require me to transfer to the college of food, agriculture, and natural sciences, which I plan to do next fall semester.

Any job in this field would require you to be up on your feet. You would be walking around, talking to coworkers, and working with different animals. The pay ranges with this field range from about $35,000 (vet tech), to $75,000 (veterinarian). More schooling is required to become a veterinarian than a vet tech.

I do not personally know anyone who works in the Verterinary field, but my aunts best friend is a Veterinarian. I have had conversations with my aunt about her and she tells me that she loves her job. I would love to meet with her to talk about what her work life looks like and ask questions.

One required class for this major is the Introduction to Animal sciences course. It is offered each semester, and has no prerequisites. There is also a required lab that goes along with the course.

This job would perfectly line up with my personality because I love animals and would love to be around them constantly. It always brings my mood up to see a cute dog or cat, and it would make me feel even better to be able to help them.

I looked up "jobs that work with animals" and I found a bunch of different jobs that work with all different kinds of animals. Being a zookeeper, faming and managing livestock, or a wildlife specialist that works with birds and reptiles. I found a bunch of options that I didn't even think of that sounds super interesting to me.
