Federalism is like Wi-Fi because it is what stabilizes everything that relies on it. Wi-Fi equally stabilizes each device that is using it, giving each device a fair connection each. Without Wi-Fi, our different gadgets would fail to work. Federalism separates things out and gives each group a fair amount of power, and does not allow one group to be overly powerful than another.

Popular sovereignty is like a classroom bookshelf because there is a set foundation of a collection of books, but the suggestions of the students who use it are what keeps the bookshelf usable. Popular sovereignty is when the people have a say and we say affect higher decisions and changes. A bookshelf needs all of the students ideas, criticism, and comments in order to improve.

Republicanism is like Albus Dumbledore because Dumbledore follows all rules set for Hogwarts, while at the same time being very fair and just to everyone. He follows all guidelines set for the school, while simultaneously succeeding to keep everything in order by staying organized. Republicanism also follows the rules, for example the constitution, and acts very fairly while keeping the rights to the people in mind.

Separation of powers is like the different houses prefects in hogwarts (Harry Potter) because they all share power just like the branches of government. No prefect is more powerful than the other, and they each keep an eye under each other, all watched over by Dumbledore. With this separation of powers taking place in hogwarts, the students are all satisfied with their needs and everyone gets fair treatment.

Individual rights are like first aid kits because it provides everyone with what they need. When you get hurt you go to the first aid kit to treat your would, and your needs are being met. When you get a cut, your first aid kit helps you by giving you a bandage that meets your needs. This is like the individual rights set for citizens because everyone is given what they need and are able to use it when needed. Without this first aid kit, it would not be fair for citizens.

Checks and balances is like managers in companies because each manager has particular jobs to take care of, and each manager is given power that they cannot get more of than what they already have. These different managers keep each other in check to see how they're doing and if they're doing well with their team. If they aren't the other managers can chime in to help.

Limited government are like teachers because teachers do not have full control of their students in the class. They only have a specific amount of power they can use that they cannot surpass, so students still have some freedom. For example, teachers cannot get students in trouble for going to the park on a Tuesday afternoon when they were supposed to be at home doing chores, the teacher's power is limited.

The executive branch is like the father of a family because the father is usually the one that gets the ideas, suggestions, and proposals from the rest of the family and they are the one that usually say if it's okay or not to do said thing. Although they do not have all the power, because the rest of the family makes a majority of the suggestions and draft the ideas for the father to approve or disapprove.

The judicial branch is like a mother because the mother is usually the one that punishes the kids if they do something bad, which corresponds to the different systems of courts the judicial branch has. This is similar to judicial branch because it is like the kids who got into trouble are the people who are being held in court, and the mother is the one who holds them in court and decides what to do with them, and what punishments to give the kids.

The legislative branch is like an assistant principal of a school because they are able to create rules and have them get approved by the principal, they are able to punish or reward students if needed depending on what they have done, and they take care of a lot of things that creates the backbone of the school. They are also closely related to extra clubs and groups that may form in the school, and they have to keep it in check.
