Well for starters it is said that there's not any actual evidence showing that robin hood actually existed. The evidence isn't there to be found. The time period this story was talked of was 700 years ago in the 1300’s. The earliest mention of England’s greatest outlaw hero is found in the B text of William Langland’s Piers Plowman, dated to about 1377; there is a similar mention in the C text, dated to about 1393. So in reality no one knows if he has ever existed or not. He is a man that is in a class that's not peasant nor knight. Robin hood wasn’t bad nor good. He stole from people to give to the poor. He believed it was a righteous thing to do. He was named the prince of thieves. Did you know that Robin’s bow is carved from the wood of a yew tree? It also said that he was never once married. No siblings we’re ever talked of in the story. The ones who believe Robin was flesh and blood suggest he is buried in Kirklees Hall in Yorkshire. That is where is body apparently lays. If he was actually a real person, the year he was believed to have died was 1198. Did you also know Nottinghamshire is promoted as ‘Robin Hood County’, and there are hundreds of places named after the outlaw?kinda cool right. There's many different years that they believe he lived. Some say in the 11th century or even the 12th or 14th. Nobody will ever legitimately know i guess because he may or may not be real.

I know that the general idea of Robin Hood is that he takes from the rich to give to the poor, but that's not how it has always been. Robin hood was not always the noble hero that we all see him as today. Robin Hood didn’t conform to the average views of society and began to 🤬 government agents and wealthy landowners. However, the more modern versions of Robin Hood show him as a humble person capable of love and goodness. It is said that he has a heart of gold in the updated version of Robin Hood, he even has love for Maid Marian. There are some criminal nicknames with different variations of the name Robin Hood. These nicknames came primarily for the tale of him. Really there is no solid proof that Robin Hood every actually went around town, causing mischief, killing the more fortunate people of Nottingham. There is also no proof that Robin Hood gave back to the poor and needy from taking from the rich. Really there is no proof that he excited at all. He may have just been a character created to inspire or entertain the public in some way. One thing that we can all agree with, everywhere, is that the story of Robin Hood is pretty awesome. The newer version of it at least. Who doesn't like to hear stories of a questionable vigilante taking back stolen money and goods from the rich and then giving the money and items back to his people and other less fortunate people.

Tales of old reimagined as new have always been completely fascinating to me. I recall back to a few summers ago when there was this odd fad in the movie of industry of recreating old fairy tales and rewriting them as hardened warriors. One that I remember quite fondly was the Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunter one in which the two twins grew up as awesome witch slayers, using guns and all sorts of weaponry. This new craze had me take a rather significant interest in old fairy tales, and thanks to this assignment, I can add Robin Hood to that repertoire. I find it even more intriguing that to this day no one can confirm nor deny that a man named Robin Hood even existed. A man shrouded in mystery, able to always slip under the eye of the law and from the way that historians speak about it, apparently his very existence is pretty stealthy as well. Whether he was real or not, it is very undeniable that this man impacted many folks as he even formed a couple of copy cats such as “Robehod” and “Rabunhod”. That’s pretty impressive no matter how you spin in, either this fictional character was so inspirational that he managed to cause real life vigilantes, or this man was so good at keeping himself relevant with his morales that his name and legacy stood the test of time for hundreds and hundreds of years.

Robin Hood was an outlaw in England that killed government agents and wealthy landowners he would also steal from the rich and give the money to the poor. He had his own little group of supporters called the merry men which consisted of Little John, Friar Tuck, Will Scarlet, Much the Miller's Son, Alan a Dale and Maid Marian which is Robin Hoods true love. People don't know if Robin Hood ever existed or not but have tried to prove that he has since medieval times. The story has changed a lot over the years such as characters being added and who Robin Hood really is. People believe that he lived in the early 1300’s to mid 1300’s and there was a man from that time named Robert Hood thats life matched to Robin Hoods but they had no proof that they were the same person.

Robin hood is a very interesting story and it surprises me that he has so much history behind him. Nottingham is a real city and I thought it was made up until I learned that there is physical evidence that it actually existed. Another cool thing is that Robin hood may have been a actual person and that his story in real life may not have been as exciting or cool, it was still possible he was alive. The story of robin hood has been passed down for generations and it has been adapted into many movies so that is also another thing that is cool about the story. So many people have taken the story and legend of Robin hood that few people actually know the real story of Robin hood. Moving to the other facts about the robin hood is that it is given a lot of credit even in modern literature for example Spider-man is very robin hood like in his actions or Batman with his Vigilante style of justice. Robin hood in modern times is hailed as a hero but in his time the only people who didn't like Robin hood is Rich people and the Law.

As the old Robin Hood story has been changed over the period of years during the mid 15th century, he was known as an legend. From others on the outside looking in Robin was an outlaw, cops basically the law hated him. Due to the crimes he was committing. No Robin wasn't an bad person. The actions he was taking where for an good cause. What really interested me about him was if you was really in need he would most definitely look out for you. Just don't lie to him or he would take everything u have and give it to someone else that needs help. Robin usually picks fights with strangers, then after the fight he would ask that person to be in his band, mind you Robin usually loses most of his fights. Before he was called Robin Hood he use to be call Robin of Locksley because some stories say Robin was born 1160 AD in the village of Locksley. Robin was too young to shoot a bow but he then shot and killed a hart that was over 550 yards away. Overtime the story of Robin Hood has been changed at least 68 times. Robin is the leader of an band of fighters. If robin is in trouble during an fight which he is always in trouble he three blasts on his horn, its alot of sayings of who appear but if it wasn't for his band of fighters on his side he would be in trouble all the time probably wouldn't even last for long.

I didn’t really know much about Robin Hood. I just thought that he was a made up movie character that people made movies about and I was part right. No-one has ever been able to prove that Robin Hood is real. We came close but, no dice. We think that it came from “Robehod” or “Rabunhod” from the 13th century. These were common epithets for criminals. The first reference to Robin Hood appeared in a series of 14th- and 15th- century ballads about yeoman who frequently clashed with the Sheriff of Nottingham. Maid Marian was not in the early ballads. She joined in a joint participation in the May Festivities of the sixteenth century. Robin Hood is really part of pop culture as well. He is in tons of movies and used in many books. He was always depicted as a peasant or a fallen noble man. There is still not evidence that Robin hood was a real person. Also in most of his plays he was Christian. This showed the religion aspect of the time. No matter, what play or what movie he was always depicted fighting the sheriff of Nottingham. No matter the reason, Robin Hood was a great character to use as a role model. He was loyal, courageous, and always protected others. In early plays made about Robin Hood it was never said why he wasn't outlaw, but in movies it explored this opportunity to show Robin Hood in a different light.

The Legend of Robin Hood
Many myths have been going around that Robin Hood is a real person. Robin Hood is invented hero, his career encapsulates many of the popular frustrations of his era in england. The original literary reference to Robin Hood comes from a passing reference in Piers Plowman, it was written around 1377, and the main body of tales date from the fifteenth century. He is not real like I said but the stuff that were mentioned in the story is true for example Nottingham is a city and original authority area in Nottinghamshire, England. Nottingham has links to the legend of Robin Hood. There are several versions of the Robin Hood story. However the first known literacy says that he was born around 1160 in Lockersley which is known as Loxley in South Yorkshire. Another chronicler says that he was a Wakefield man and took part in Thomas of Lancaster’s rebellion in 1322. I didn’t know anything about him but after reading and watching the movie it says that Robin Hood “stole from the rich to give to the poor”. In my opinion robin hood is a hero to the poor for giving them their needs such as food but he is also a thief and a villain to the law for stealing stuff that doesn’t belong to him. I don’t agree that Robin Hood was a perfect hero. He had his faults just like all of us and but, also we can’t classify him with thieves and murders.

Robin Hood

Robin hood is a well known tale people claim that this story is of a mythical story. Even though the story was changed at least 68 times. The main story is about a hero who faces many issues very early in his life. Robin hood has so many elements that make up for enjoyment reading, Like adventure, romance and many other themes. Legends developed about a “good” outlaw who protected and supported the poor while he stole from the rich. Robin had left town, came back to find out that his dad had died. He was shot to come back if I that the sheriff was making a choice what are the rules and the people was suffering. Robert I decided to do a good and bad thing. He stole from the wealthy and gave it to the poor. Robin hood gives readers good impression about a noble person showing the experiences that he went through when he was a little boy. Also how great he is and how he was helpful to his community. Many people thought that rabbit Hill was doing great but others thought he betrayed him like his brother. His brother thought he was selfish, all because Rob had left the family because the father have replaced their mother.

His mother had died and his life has been unbearable ever since. He couldn't love or live with a women accept his mother. No one could come between him and his mother and no one could replace his mother. Robin was really hurt when his mother got replaced and no one could replace his mother his eyes. When Robin hood's brother found out he was doing some good he decided to help him take down the corrupt regime. Long story short Rachel was a great man but made bad decisions by stealing but also helping the poor. Robyn the use of his skills and traits for betterment for the poor people in his community by fighting corruption. Robin he was brave he even went to the castle to fight for his people. One of the main theme in the story was courage and he sure did have it he was scared of anything or afraid of anyone, He had good if you ask me.

He was known for his kind acts and archery skills. He is a legend that most cultures know. In the earlier stories Robin Hood was not as noble as he is in the newer stories. Maid Marian was not in the earlier stories and neither was Friar Tuck. They were introduced to the stories later. Robin Hood was known for killing the Nobel folks and taking their money. Now in the newer stories he just takes from the rich and gives to the poor and oppressed. Robin Hood stayed in Sherwood Forest with his band of merry men.

The legend of Robin Hood has been around for centuries. However there are many stories that tell different points. The first fact I learned about Robin hood was that he never cared about the law. He was more worried about taking from the rich and giving to the poor. However Robin, was not feared by the poor, his enemies are the rich, the biggest enemy of them all would be the Sheriff of Nottingham and the bad apples in the Church like the Abbot of St. Mary's and the Bishop of Hereford. Did you know that Robin fought for an England where Norman and Saxon so that everyone could live in peace. Robins arrow was a gift for winning a tournament, the arrow had a sliver shaft and golden head and feathers. Robin was extremely talented with an arrow to the point where he won by shooting an arrow between his appointment. In other stories Robin was an outlaw when he rescued Much the Miller's Son from the sheriff's men. There are many stories in which have their own perception of who Robin is: Robin is the son of a forester, Sir Robin of Locksley, a knight who returned from the Third Crusade to find his land stolen by the sheriff, or he is a powerful landowner who loses his lands either by going into debt or by betrayal. When it was time for Robin to take a break it wasn't willingly, his cousin helped him by a medical treatment in the middle ages was to bleed someone. How ever the Prioress drained to much of his blood on purpose, he had managed to call for help by blowing a horn and little John came but the Prioress threatened him. When all is said and done Robins legacy still is alive today and people keep telling the story make little changes.

Like he robbed from the rich just to give it to the poor. He was married to a beautiful women name Marian that also speak her mind for what she want. I really don’t know why they forced women for unwanted marriage, It wrong for not letting women getting wanted marriage and It was a good thought of her to married Robin because of that. Robin expire his talent to save his people. Throughout the experiment Robin was focus on his main enemies that is the Sheriff of Nottingham but also did have much more enemies. Robin Hood is very Historical to the author by making it clear to his evidence and his existence available to them. A few interesting facts that I find interesting include: Him being known around certain parts of the world, and how he had an impact on people in general. The original tale of Robin Hood wasn’t necessarily true, Legend says that he may have not actually existed but was resembled from a person in the real world. When Robin Hood founded out that he couldn’t cross the water because he was going into the Sheriff of Nottingham land. He expressing himself for doing the right thing to get on Tuck’s back just to get cross the water and Tuck’s is also the Sheriff of Nottingham.

Robin Hood Fact or Fiction:

When reading about Robin Hood in the websites for my padlet, I thought that he was some kind of hero and a good person, but instead he was considered an “outlaw” which I now understand the meaning of. I can see how researchers would want to figure out if the known man “Robin of Locksley” is real or not, considering the fact that he has resurfaced way back from the 15th century it could really be possible. Robin of Locksley was featured in five of the earliest surviving ballads and part of a play, I have to say, deciding between fact or fiction, I would have to choose fact. Strange personal facts have resurfaced about Robin Hood such as “The early ballads do not tell us why Robin became an outlaw”, it’s the unanswered questions like these that leaves us scratching our heads, on top of that he’s such an important piece to folklore and literature. Also researchers can’t seem to find out if it’s true or not. From watching the movie “Robin Hood Prince of Thieves” his part is a skilled man with a lot of integrity, honesty, and skills with his sword. We may never know for sure whether Robin Hood ever existed outside the pages of books. And even if we did, fans young and old would still surely go to England’s Nottinghamshire region for a tour of the legend’s said to be hangouts, from centuries-old pubs to the Major Oak in Sherwood Forest.
