         <title>Septmeber 3*    Greetings classmates! To begin with, my name is Caroline Cochrane and I have lived in Nassau County for 22 years. I was born in Jacksonville and raised a Florida girl my whole life and would not have it any other way. I love the sun, being close to the beach and flat land! I could not survive the cold weather or deal with all of the snow. I attend full time business school and work as a waitress at a local restaurant as well. I am currently attacking the bachelors program of Business here at FSCJ and really dig all of the course options that are given. After December I will only have eight classes left until I finish my bachelors and I cannot wait! I have blocked out time in my schedule to complete my degree! In the future, my dream occupation would be to own my own business of some sort. I have tossed around ideas such as a ladies boutique or a jet ski/paddle board/surf board rental place down in the keys. It is important to be positive and make the most of each day. Too often life is taken for granted, so I like to enjoy myself. I am looking forward to this class and I am hoping to learn a lot as well. I already have my book, so I am set! Principles of Management seems like a course that is much needed and would be beneficial for any person going into the work force not just for business majors. Good luck to everyone in this course, may we all make an A!</title>

         <title>September 8*           This Challenge Case Assignment, reiterated the importance of being a leader who promotes upward growth within the company. Adkins managed to changed positions 19 times in the 30 years that he was employed by IBM. He was always willing to expand his knowledge and encourage his staff. This is a great leader to use as an example for someone to look up to in the business world for me!</title>

         <title>September 7*          After reading the first article on Steve Jobs, I couldn&#39;t believe how negatively the writer spoke on Jobs. Willful, perfectionist, narcissist, volatile, and manipulative are just some of the words used to describe him. In my opinion, there is nothing wrong with holding a higher standard in your company for your employees to follow. There is also nothing wrong with being a perfectionist or &quot;willful&quot;. Just because you are stubborn, set in your ways or like things to be perfect does not make you a bad leader. The ways of Steve Jobs obviously worked due to how successful Apple was when he was alive and still is to this day. </title>

         <title>September 5*     Comparing the two leaders Jobs and Adkins that we learned about this week they both had one thing in common. GROWTH. Upward and forward growth. Adkins within his company and Jobs within the whole  industry of technology. It is interesting to compare the two and their different style of leadership as well. </title>

         <title>September 11*      After reading chapter three and reading the two articles on gender diversity and multigenerational diversity, my eyes have been opened and my stereotype of the older generation is out of my mind. Which is a positive breakthrough. I now feel bad for my negative thoughts of the older generations in the workforce and realize now how much experience I can gain and wisdom they can offer me. </title>

         <title>September 13*          As I have been researching the past two evenings on companies to use in my Corporate Governance paper, I came to the conclusion there is no perfect company that has never had a mishap. Each company had something they were improving on or working toward. This was especially true with Wells Fargo and their recent scandal with over 1.5 million bank accounts were used to create unautorized credit card accounts. Wells Fargo is now putting less pressures on employees to meet quotas so hopefully now there will be absolutely no reason they would need to create those accounts. Not that meeting quotas or feeling pressure from your boss is ever an excuse to commit fraud. </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><br>Learning more about the code of ethics of the three companies I chose to compare and contrast. Reading&nbsp;the three&nbsp;different&nbsp;code of ethics&nbsp;establish&nbsp;what policies can be more effective and which policies you are just wasting your time on. The shortest credo seems to be the most effective because I have never heard&nbsp;complaints affiliated with Johnson&nbsp;&amp; Johnson and their credo was only four paragraphs long. &nbsp;</div>]]></description>
