The Jamaicans show the history of the country through dance, one part seeks to show the history in a colorful way, but with sophistication the other part represent first of rituals that refer to the past.
Culture is the result of the mixture of various peoples from the beginning.
The typical Jamaican fruit is akee which is from the same family as guarana and is a typical fruit from the tropical climate.

Already in the 1980s, the country adopted a liberal policy and came under the influence of the United States. In the early 1990s, an economic crisis occurred, which led to strikes and a significant increase in violence.

But a new exhibit, which can currently be viewed at the IDB Cultural Center art gallery, takes a different approach. Featuring 42 paintings, lithographs and sculptures covering the period from the last three centuries to the present, "Three Moments in Jamaican Art" examines the country's artistic achievements against the backdrop of all Western art. In doing so, it identifies three defining moments in the country's artistic development.
