Marriage in Romania is when a bride and groom (man and woman) share their souls and ideas for the rest of their lives (of course, if divorce does not occur).

Usually, the religious wedding at the church takes place in the morning and the party starts in the evening.

Once the fun begins, there are many traditions and customs at weddings.

At the party, after the wedding, there are traditions and customs specific to each area of Romania. some of the most frequented traditions are: stealing the bride, dancing and drinking all night.

The next day, all the guests are dead from exhaustion.

After the wedding, the newly married couple goes on their honeymoon (holiday)

I have never been to a wedding, but I would like to participate.

First of all, I couldn't have been more grateful for the fact that altough I was a kid whose parents were only invited, they decided to welcome me as well. I had the time of my life dancing, partying and being treated more like a young lady rather than a child. Discovering how a wedding looks and feels like at such a young age and seeing the groom looking at the gorgeous bride with sparks and tears in his eyes were really, a meaningful experience to me.

Since us, as Romanians, had the tendency to make such modern events out of weddings, the traditions and things that made them unique in Romania faded away and began to disappear as time went by, so I wasn't quite able to remark any of those. However, I saw when the bouquet of flowers had been thrown from the bride's hands to the other young, unmarried girls. It was such a joyful moment, and months after that took place, I found out that the woman who had caught the bouquet at the wedding actually got married to the love of her life. If that wasn't a sign of fate and simply true love, I don't know what could be.

In the end, I would love to add how of a spectacular moment that was and how I'm definitely going to remember it for the rest of my life. The fact that I was asked to be a part of someone else's probably most important and significant moment in life definitely had an enormous impact on me as well.
